Default Clutch questions

My dilemma
Gotta warmed up 440 with a 4 gear..Now I have a choice of going with the stock fly wheel and heavy bell housing. my question is did they ever make an aluminum bell housing/smaller fly wheel for a big block that I can use on the Old 440???

From 1970 and on there was nothing but aluminium bellhousings and 130 teeth flywheels even for 440s. You can use them right off with an older engine (I don’t know if external balancing might be a problem though). But you will need the 11” scalloped clutch to go with the smaller flywheel. Or use a 10½” clu
