440/9.5 to 1 comp./mellow cam. Have Edelbrock
Performer 750cfm, very nice, easy starting but very boring. Don't want to go back to leaky Holley which fouled plugs often.[also a 750 vac. secondary and rebuilt] What next? |

I use Holleys on both cars and have not had any problem with leaks or fouled plugs.
Do you have the correct power valve for your set up? With a hotter cam the power valve might be opening at idle causing a rich condition. Just a thought, ------------------ 66 Belv 440 auto 10.76 @125 69 RR 426 wedge auto 9.69 @ 140 |

Matt, I have a Holley 750 vac sec. on my 440. It's been there for yrs with no leaks. The problem most poeple have with them leaking is from letting them set up with gas in them. If you have an electric pump you can run the bowls dry before you put it away. Also never let one sit on the shelf with gas in it.

Has someone drilled out the air bleeds? If they have it makes the Holley VERY rich at idle. It's usually done for an engine with a tall cam and little vacuum at idle.
