I don't know anyone using one yet but plenty building motors with them now. One question I have is this crank a cast iron like the factory 360 crank or is it cast steel? I know that Scat has a bunch of 9000 cast steel cranks, these are suppose to be between the strength of cast iron and forged steel. Now on the factory 360 iron cranks, seems h.p. doesn't hurt them, its the rpm. I have seen a bunch of 500-550 hp 360 with the cast iron crank that lasted without a problem. Now seems the rpm for problems is 7,000+. If rpms are kept to 6,500, life is good. I know a guy that ran a 360 for 3 seasons, shifting at 6,500 rpm, thru the traps at 7,000. Crank finally broke. After this we looked into it and found the only ones we heard of breaking were the 7,000 plus reved ones. Also remember the factory 340/360 rods are rpm limited too. Seems like they hold 500-600 h.p. without a problem but rpm limited to 6,500 also. If you run them to 7,000 on a regular basis, the cap will oval and stretch. The rod body is plenty strong, it's the cap with the problem. Use to be a company that made h.d. caps for the factory 340 rods for high rpm and oval track abuse, this worked good. Now days we have H beam rods reasonably priced. Not really an answer to your question but some food for thought.

I read somewhere that Larry Shepard had said.
A cast crank from a stock 360 will hold 600hp in the stock 2bolt block.
I also agree that the RPM will kill it if you go to 7000 like its OK.
Now the 4inch crank should hold the power. I would inspect the crank after the season is over. Just keeping in mind the limit of RPM's.
The stroker crank is better/stronger than stock. Right?

I talked to Scat at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. They make the 4" stroke crank for Mopar. They said it could easily handle 700-800 hprsepower when set up porperly. They also said to make sure that you did not use a heavy balancer. The heavier the balancer the more of a chance that the crank will fail.

Did Scat say what kind of balancer to use? I was thinking on one of the cheaper fluid type balancers(Pro Line/Cat). Any thoughts here? And what is considered heavy(factory type cast iron?)?

Scat is pretty well known in the aftermarket as a supplier of various cranks. Check out:
