The other day i was going to test compression on my 340. i went to pull one of the spark plug wire boots off and low and behold i did the unthinkable. i did what i usually do. i grabed the boot of the wire and turned it loose and then pulled back (on the boot)and there it stood... the terminal end STILL on the spark plug.
DOES THIS DEEM THAT WIRE USELESS?
CAN I REATTACH THE TERMINAL END TO THE WIRE? HOW? i just stuck the boot back over the end for now. WILL THIS STILL CAUSE IT TO MISS?
help me please.
they are 8mm high performance (expensive) wires so i dont want to buy a new set if i dont have to. THANKS ALOT.

Just crimp another terminal end on the plug wire and slide the boot back over. Shouldn't have any problems.

Depending on the manufacturer of the wire you may be able to re-crimp the end back on.
On the Jacobs wures the boost are siliconed to the wires so it is almost impossable to reattach them, but they have a lifetime warrenty. When I did this, I took the bad wire back to the speed shop where I got the wires and they just made me a new wire
