Has anyone used the Dynamax 1 3/4 inch headers that are sold by Summit or Jegs? They say that they are Jet-Hot coated inside and out and only cost about $210-220. Are they any good?

Hello CarolinaRacer! I've not used these but I have seen them in Jegs and they do look tempting at that price! I would be very cautious, tho. I gave a little rant on the cudakid TTI topic about my experience with pre-coated headers. For exanmple, alot of header manufs. will make a one size fits all "Big-Block" Mopars--383-440! But they design them for the "low-block" 383 so they wont hang down too far. This can present problems on a High-block 440 with interference around the steering, starter and torsion bars. Again, I have not used Dynamax, they may work fine--but--buyer beware! my .02

My buddy tried a set on a 66 B-body with 440 and power steering and they did not fit. Manual steering may be o.k. The Hedman street headers fit the best. You will need to use the lightwieght starter.
