i wrote another message but it got no responses...i am trying to install a 318 in my 1988 jeep comanche truck. it is 2wd and i am hoping it will be pretty fast. the planned modifications are to bore it .030 over, RV cam and headers...all i want is 14s...it should be capable...if not..what other relativly inexpensive modifications can be made to put my truck into the 14s. i greatly appreciate your info

Check out my reply on your other post . Might have some useful info. You really need to consider your weight a factor here. A lot of guys at our local strips did not consider this and was very dissapointed with their rangers when they installed a 5.0 in them. The little rangers weigh around 1200# more than a mustang And is probably smaller in overall size. Just some more thoughts on your weight. Check your GVWR and build from that info to hit your target.
