Default Durango R/T wheels NOISY!

I've got a 2000 Durango R/T, and the center caps on the wheels are noisy. They pop and click all the time. Sometimes the vehicle will just be sitting in the driveway, and I'll hear it click. I'm sure it's the center caps, because I've put my hand on it and felt it while I shove on the vehicle.

Does anyone have a similar situation? What can I do about this? Thanks

Are you sure it's not your rear springs clicking? Mine will click like crazy if I don't keep those little plastic pads between each leaf lubed. Just a thought.

You know, I've heard that same click and had no idea what the heck it was.

Ramology, it's the wheels for sure. I'd be more than willing to take it in for a warranty fix, but I seriously doubt there is one. I most likely end up with some monkey from the dealership smearing grease all over my center caps.

I may contact Chrysler about this.

Thanks Guys:

I just went out and checked. I was aware of the springs creaking, so I went and checked the caps. Sure enough. I had an old Caddy with the wire wheel covers that made that noise. What I did, was to clean the area real good, and apply clear silicone sealer to it. Ya know, the kind ya get from Menards/Home Depot.

I wonder if that would work here too? Just what I need, ANOTHER PROJECT! I'm sooooo happy. Oh well. Life goes on. It'll just have to line up behind the other projects.

Later
Ugg
