Question seating a Fluiddamper balancer

besides the damper getting hard to tighten, is there a measurement from the front of the crank or the timing cover to ensure the damper is on all of the way. The old one has been off forever and I don't remember how close it was, the manuel doesn't say and the instructions say 150 ft lbs but the pulley is way off. The instructions say there might be problems for Pontiacs and Fords but not Mopars.........

'66, 383, forged crank

Thumbs up

ok ok, I thought I'd go ahead and put the bolt/washer in and torque wrench on it to see how close the installation tool got it....... well it wasn't even close so I proceeded to crank it down rather easily ( don't know what was wrong with the install tool) and got the 150 ft/lbs at a hairsbreath from the oil pan, ok a couple of hairs, and guess what.............................................. ........
ALL OF THE PULLEYS LINED UP, am I a genius or what...................
