ratio rockers
Hey guys,
Been a while since I've been on. But the move is done and I'm home again in Indiana. I've been looking through my Jeg's, Northern, and Summit catalogs and no-one seems to carry 1.6 ratio rockers for my 360 heads unless I'm running a '9? and up Ram. Any idea where I can find some without having to sell my kids? How about a roller cam for a 318? If my numbers work correct, I can pull 543 h.p. from my 318. I'll need some help from Dilley 340 I think though. Thanks everyone, |

Cheapest rockers I've seen come from Comp Cams. Not positive on 1.6 ratio's though.
Roller cams a pricey no matter who makes them. |

Hey Greg, good to see you're back!
I have the Crane Gold Race rollers (1.5). They came to $329.99 from Jeg's, so they're not cheap. Crane offers a roller cam (.548" I/ .558" E), roller rockers (1.5), hydraulic roller lifters and push rods for the 318 up to '86. Check this page out for more info. http://www.cranecams.com/motorsports...ler/699641.htm Suggested retail prices look pretty steep though. I would think that new valve springs would be in order with the high lift and I would definitely check out the valve to piston clearance with either the 1.5's or 1.6's, that is, if you can get the 1.6's for the early 360 heads. |

Hughes has what you are looking for:
Cast Iron http://www.hughesengines.com/general...on_rockers.asp Aluminum: http://www.hughesengines.com/general...um_rockers.asp They are expensive though. |

I beleve they are available from all rocker manufacturers, Crane, even Mopar Performance etc. Be sure to check the pushrod clearance since in the older heads the pushrodhole is so small that it may cause some interference problems.

What DartGT66 said. I put the Crane gold 1.6:1 rockers on my 360 and there is not much clearance between the pushrod and the pushrod hole in the heads, and I am just running a mild cam. A high lift roller cam will make the pushrod angle even worse. You didn't say what heads your running, but a roller cam and 1.6:1 rockers is overkill for production iron heads, even with porting they have a hard time flowing over 0.550" of lift.

I'm thinking of saving for Edel heads and work them to flow for a 590/312 cam.

I have a set of newer Crane Gold 1.5 Roller Rockers and pushrods if you want them. 3 years old but only 3000 miles or so. We can strike a deal if you like.
