Default 2002 Ram 4.7 Parts?

I haven't bought mine yet, but I am seriously looking at a new 2002 Ram Quad Cab Sport. It's got to be the best Truck that I can find for my money.

I am thinking about dual exhausts though. Antone know if Mopar or anyone else is going to make them for this rig?

Anyone know if MOPAR is going to come out with their own HIPO parts for the 4.7?

Chris

I'd guess that they'd be comming soon, but performance west has a ram or two at the sema show, and I think that they had some heavy artillery in the 4.7's they had superchargers, cat back systems and more.
later,
chris.

4.7? Go 5.9 if you can. They have superchargers and what not for the 5.9s all over the place.

Nope, Don't want to go with the 5.9. Way too thirsty for me and way Ol Tech. Good Engine, but it's old design. If I wanted a bigger motor I'd wait for the 2003 Hemi to come out. Hopefully that will have better EPA specs.

The Rams I've driven with the 4.7 have plenty of go for me. I just want a few parts on mine to help it breathe and flow a bit better. As a start, I'll probably put a K&N filter and wait for Gibson to come out with a Cat Back system for this truck.

Last night I saw that Chrysler is also giving 7 year 100,000 mile warrenties on the drive trains of all new 2001 and 2002's. If I could just get the dealer to deal a little more, I may be driving home in that Red 2002 Ram Sport that I saw!

Too thirsty? We have a ram and get 18 MPG, its better than my 318 2brl dart. Yea the magnum is a few years old, its better than the older 360. The magnum is a better design though IMO. Yea the hemi would rock ass....5.7...a 355 or something. cheers

You could always get a single in - dual out Flowmaster, or other muffler of your choice, and have your local exhaust shop fab up the pipes.

Good luck, I also have my eyes on the new Ram, I am thinking about trading in the Dak, but I would really like to have the new hemi, but that won't be out until Jan 2003

They are looking at a 4.7 high output program. Be patient. They have to design, make, and test the parts before making them available. Watch the Mopar displays at the big shows Mopar Nats etc.

There was an ad in Mopar Action for Kennebell Computer re-programming and a twin screw supercharger for the 4.7L.
The ad listed a webpage at www.kennebell.net, but I can't get it to come up on my computer.
The short box on the new 2002 is even shorter than the old short box, so you may have to wait if you want a topper or cover.
