Change 440 from a/c to no a/c
I've got 440 with a/c that I want to convert to non-a/c. I purchased the proper bracket from year one, but when I put it on, none of the pulleys line up correctly. From checking in old Mopar Muscle issues, it looks like the fan pulley on non a/c cars is much closer to the water pump than mine is. Any ideas on ways to correct this? Also, what is the correct belt configuration? Right now, my alt/crank/ac belt runs outside the psp belt. Does it go inside on non a/c cars (my psp is Federal style if that makes any difference) Any help is greatly appreciated!

??????????
The last time that I removed AC from a 440, I pulled the compressor out and then got the right size belts for the pulleys that needed them. Don't know what theat bracket was for, that you bought. I've seen plenty of other cars, where the owner has done the exact same thing, with no extra brackets. |

Thanks for the info. The ride is in the shop getting some tranny work done, but I'll try that when I get it back and let you know. From what I remember, it looked like the belts would hit the water pump housing, but I'll have to check. How are things in Manassas? I grew up shooting at Bull Run.
