Default octane boosters

i do have a question. even though i have harden seats on my 340 six pak, can i still add octane booster to my unleaded gas? i run 93 octane but i like that sweet smell that comes from some dudes car when he drives past me. is that the octane booster thats making that smell? will any thing happen to my heads or valves if i use it?

the sweet smell is probably not an additive like that. most likely it's race gas. but yes, the octane booster is going to be safe for the hardened valve seats

yes you can.. is it legal on the street.. no, but it allows more timing, and more power.. and.. it smells good.

Look at the December issue of Hot Rod. It has a good article about octane boosters and they use a 360 test mule on the dyno.

That sweet smell might be the brand of gas he's using. I remember that Shell always smelled good, almost like cinnamon, in my minivan.......

My 'cuda runs too rich for sweetness, though..
