i am starting to put a 5.2 magnum in a 71 demon and would like some help on which oil pan to use.318/340 pan wouldnt fit. anyone
have the answer???thanks to all

If it's a recent 5.2 magnum, it likely came out of a truck & the sump is in the wrong position. I think MP sells a pan kit for your application that includes the pan, bolts, new pickup & dipstick. I just bought one of these for the "old style" 340. I'll check my catalogue when I get home & get the part#.

Sorry this took so long - I had to check with the local guru (a mechanic at the local dealership who has been wrenchin' on mopars since I was in diapers - a VERY long time ago) He swears up & down that the 318 - 340 pan is a bolt on. The best way to go is the MP pan kit for 318/340 applications as it includes the pan, bolts, new oil pickup and dipstick for less dough than ordering up just the pan at your local NAPA. Sorry again for the delay
