Default Stock distributor

I have a 360 with a stock distributor. I was thinking about beefing it up for more performance. Is there a kit I can get to do this or should I just get a HP distributor? I have the MSD 6A ignition and coil.
Thanks

manciniracing.com They have a MoPar performance kit that use's light springs. I think they also have a Crane adjustable vacum advance unit that will replace the stock unit.

All vacuum advance canisters are adjustable. Check your arm for a #, if it's an 8.5 arm you can go up to an 11 arm for more advance. The springs can help or you can also splurge for an MP distributor which you can adjust the mechanical advance in.

I can't find the hex head (???) in the pot to adjust the advance on mine. Are you sure there all adjustable?

Every one I've seen so far is. I have allen keys, but don't have the slightest idea what size is the one that fits. I'll check later though because I know it's in at least one book I have. If your distributor is out or if you get it out you might be able to see into the vacuum port and see the hex hole under a light.

If by chance it isn't there call different parts stores and find one that sells them. They're cheap (like $10). Get one with an 11 or 11.X arm. If you don't already know you times that # by 2 and that's the amount of advance the canister will add in.
