New Jimmy Spencer/Ganassi/Target car....
So, I assume everybody knows the #01 will become the #41 in 2002, and that Jimmy Spencer will be the driver, and Target the sponsor. Jayski has this pic:

Thats the best news I've herd in a while. Spencer is driving good and teamed with Marlin the Ganassi team should be real strong. The Mayfield/Evernham deal will also be real tough. Glad to see Atwood stay in the Dodge/Evernham organization. Lets hope NASCAR does not mess with the aero package too much.

Yeah I heard that about a month ago and new it was confirmed yesterday, That is just stupid in my opinion. Oh well looks like we got a bonehead in the dodge bunch. Remember a Jimmy Spencer never forgets

I also had to grit my teeth when I heard Spencer would be driving a Dodge. There is no doubt his driving has improved, and he's less fiery than before, but he still has more than his share of "incidents" on track.
I am glad to hear Mayfield will be driving for Evernham. I think that will be a successful combination. I also read in the paper this morning that Jeremy owns a Viper, but couldn't admit to it while he was driving a Ford for Penske. Good to see a Mopar owner driving one at the track! |
