Anyone useing Diplomat (M-body) wheels on a Duster?
Anyone using the steel wheels from a '78-'89 Diplomat or other M, Y, J body on a Duster with '73-'76 Discs? I plan on running P225/60R15's on the rims, and I'm wondering if they fit well, and if you had to modify anything to get them to work and not rub. I'm converting my '70 Duster to '74 11" discs, so i'd like to know.
Thanks in advance |

Had them on the rear of my '75 duster, and they were real close to rubbing on the springs.Had 27560-15 tires,so yours might not be as close.Cant tell you bout the fronts.I had 15x3 skinnies on the front.

The wheels will fit, running 15x7" Cop wheels on 74 Duster with 235x60x15s on rear and 225x60x15s on the front. The 225s on all four corners seems the best choice and will be my next purchase.

I had wheel adaptors on the 4" bolt circle early model unit,to convert over to 4 1/2"and use the cop car rims, and the adaptors spaced out the wheels about 15/16 of an inch...and the L60's fit great. But they were still close to the springs. When I updated the rear to a later,8 1/4" rear with 4 1/2 inch bolt circle,i went to use the rims and tires, and they hit the springs.I had to purchase new rims or go to skinny tires.I bought the rims. The skinnier tires would work, but not for me.Oh yeah,I had centerlines on the front, drilled for the small bolt pattern.
