Cam chioce is pretty easy for this engine since you have quite "streetable" compression and only want to use it on the street. Personally I'd go with MP 284/484, but any cam with 268/465 specs to the above mentoined will work fine, .........djs

You can get the actual cam timing specs at Victorylibrary.com of all mopar cams.I think the dual pattern cams offered by Hughes Engines are superior to the 60/70"s cams and can really enhance the head flow numbers in more stock type setups like you want.Check them online prices are good.

I think the 6-pack cam had the same specs as the HP cam, but it was a low taper (on the lobe) design and I think it used a 3-bolt timming chain sprocket.
I was thinking of putting a 6-pack on my '69 Coronet 440 for the use of mostly street crusing and some drag racing. The cam I am thinking of using the the Hughes HE3038BL this is 230/238 duration @ 0.050", 0.515"/0.536" lift 110 LSA. Power range is supposed to be 2,000 to 5,700 RPM. |
