Question 7 Year, 100,000 mile warranty

I bought a PT Cruiser on October, 27th, and found out that starting November 1st Chrysler is offering 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty on all new 2001 & 2002 vehicles.( I got the standard 3-36). Had I known this I would have waited to buy it.
I called my dealer, to see if I could get in on it since I was only 4 days shy of this offer, and he told me to call Chrysler, which I did, and they told me it is up to the dealer.
Has anyone had this happen, is it worth it for me to persue this further, or am I just SOL.
Thanks, Rambo

I would ask to speak with Rob Cook and explain the situation. I would think that they would work with you so that you get the newer warranty. If not, try contacting the zone manager. If you mention to Rob that you plan on going on up the chain of command, that may encourage them to just work something out...

Just my 2 cents
