Default Pistol Grip 727

Hay guys, check this out. I wanted something different for my '70 Cuda 440 auto, so I took a pair of 4 speed grips and made a Pistol Grip shifter the way I thought Mopar would have, or should have if they wanted to offer it in an automatic. I came up with a way to use a trigger to unlock Park on an Slap Stick unit. I even engraved "Hurst" on the handle the way they dd it then. And inplace of the shift pattern on top I put "CUDA". Works great, or at least as good as any Slap Stick can work. Hope both pics come out

Default Pistol Grip

There is a guy already making them. I have seen them at Carlisle and I think he has an ad in Mopar Collectors Guide.

I have seen the one the other guy makes. It's a a pistol grip handle that fits over the slap stick shifter after you take off the strait '70 or the T handle on the 71-74 one's. It' straight and has no angle to it. But it's cheap to make and easy to install and goes for about $149. I don't like to knock any one's work, but it just does not look right. The one I made was a lot of work. Machined out of aluminum on a CNC mill which also did the engraving. Being a machinist for 28 years helps. I couldn't make it cheap enough for anyone to buy. I wish I could, but I don't think the company I work for would like that,LOL
