413 long rams
DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THE LONG RAMS USED IN THE 60'S?

They look cool
They are best for low and midrange power, but are too long for upper RPM power. I think I read they will hurt power above 4,500 RPM? |

I wrote you an extensive reply, but the Bulletin Board timed me out and blew me off the system before I could post it.
Esssentially, it said that unless you're building strictly a trailer queen resto, forget about them. On a modern engine, they won't rev past 4200 to 4500, they are a nightmare to keep (the carbs)tuned and won't work with anything but a stock cam.
