I am wondering if a 66'barracuda 4-speed gearbox is the same as what would have been original equipement on a 70' dart. Is durability the same? I know there are 18 spline hemi 4-speeds, as well as aluminum cased overdrive units.

The MoPar Chassis book gives a detail section on whats what. They should interchange in cars.

If the '66 happened to have a Slant in it, it could have a super low 1st gear in it.
