want to increase footprint for stability without the expense of aftermarket rims. Thanks

195/60R14 is a nice tire, i have 205/60R14's on mine but conering is really soft, due to all the sidewall flex of this size. i've seen as wide as a 225/60R14 tire used, but that's a bit far.

I agree,the biggest tire you should try to put on the stock rims is a 195 60,if you want to use larger than that you need after market rims.

thanks, the wife finally found some rims she liked so I sprung for 15's with a 195/60/15 tire, probably a little to tall as far as over all when PLUS sizing and keeping the speedo right but .....

I have American Racing 14x6 rims on my Shadow with 205 60 R14 tires. As far as I'm concerned it handles great.
