stroker crank & piston to valve clearance
We are thinking about installing a stroker crank from Mopar Performance in our 360 and understand that it will not interfere with the block and will work with the stock 360 balance system. What we need to know is how much clearance we will have between top of block and a stock 340x head with the stock valves and springs. We are concerned about the pistons coming in contact with the valves if we go with to big of a stroke. Also, has anyone used this setup and what pistons, crank and compression ratio did you use. Thanks for any help in advance.

You will need special pistons with the pin hole moved up. When you increase the stroke the piston will travel 1/2 of that increase higher in the bore and 1/2 of said increase lower. The "stroker" pistons have a shorter compression distance (center of pin to top of piston) to allow for the increase in stroke.
