Question Starter Ring

When doing a direct drive auto transmission or when using a shivy clutch package, what is the starter / starter ring combination that is used?

I'm using a "coupler" from TCI. It's simply the front of a torque converter cut off behind the ring gear with provision for the drive splines and the tangs for the pump welded in. Uses the std gear reduction starter. Weighs 11 lbs total. Simple, effective , and no special parts needed.
Can't say about the chevvy setup.
