Default 1982 dodge D 150???

well everyone...i think i found the prospect for my 318 buildup....its a 1982 dodge d150...i know what they basically look like....aerodynamics of a brick...but anyway...it will be different from everyone i think....i was looking for some help with a comparison....

heres the comparison....a friend of mine has an 82 chevy full size with a 350, fresh rebuild, 4 barrel carb, edelbrock intake, 480 lift cam, headers, 3 inch exhaust, 2500 stall converter and shift kit, with a 3.73 rear with posi...

if all goes well i will have this 82 d150 with my rebuilt 318, bored .030, with 360 heads and 2.02/1.60 valves and milled, edelbrock performer intake with 600cfm 4 barrel, .443/.465 lift cam, headers, 2 1/2 inch dynomax ultra flo race mufflers, 2500 stall and shift kit, with 4.10 gears and locking rear....

hypothetically who might win in a race....i know the details arent all there but if anyone could give me advice i would greatly appreciate it..

Not really enugh info to tell, but it looks like you would have an advantage for at least the 1/8 mile?
Your 4.10 gears, and the engine built for more low/mid range power should accelerate the truck better than his 3.73:1 gears and engine built for high RPM power.
The big unknowns are the trucks weight, and tire size and how well tuned each engine is.
