Question Indy 440-1 heads, who has them?

I'm thinking of buying a set of 440-1 heads. World Castings has the heads assembled with Manley Severe Duty valves, 10 degree keepers and titanium retainers. There is a dealership on Ebay selling the 440-1 kit, as are several other places (Mancini, Muscle Motors,ect.). My question is this: do the 440-1 heads come from Indy with Manley Severe Duty valves, titanium retainers and 10 degree locks? I've tried to email Indy Heads but their email doesnt work. I plan on putting these heads on a 440 stroker (493), 10.5 or 11:1 compression, solid roller cam, single plane intake. Like it to be a bad to the bone street/strip motor. Its going to end up in a 71 Duster. Thanks for your help.

Rob

if you are going to buy the Indy 440-1 heads contact the Guys at Muscle Motors they will take good care of you and be fair about it I bought my 495 stroker kit from them along with the Indy SR heads and a 640 solid lift cam (Ultradyne ) I run this combo in a 70 Challenger the car weight is 3235 and run's 10.09@131
ask for Chuck or Eric at Muscle Motors

Smokindatires, I have a pretty similar set up in my Dart, 3370 lbs and 10.06/137 on pump gas with the 493. The valves from Indy are Manley severe duties; actually .100" long BB chevy valves. don't know about the retainers though. Some port work really pays off with those heads. I also suggest you contact muscle motors for the heads and cam recoomendations etc. With the right parts these engines can be made to make good power while still reatining strong low end torque: Mine made over 500 ft/lbs already at 2200 rpm and over 600 at 2800 keeping it above 600ft /lbs up to 6700 rpm.

I have Indys on my backup Race motor. They all come with good valves. I feel that the steel Indys make more power with less compression. I got mine from Rus Flagle at Indy. They have always been good to me.
