Default HEMI build for $4500

Anyone see Trucks TV today. They had a hemi build using a 331 Hemi bored out 100 over, yeilding 350ci, aluminum heads and a lot of goodies for $4500. They mentioned a place called Hot Heads for all the pieces required, including the aluminum heads, pistons, valve train, trans adapter, late model starter, an electronic distributor, headers, intake manifold, etc. Does anyone know how to get information on Hot Heads?

I found the site for Hot Heads: http://www.hothemiheads.com/

Trucks TV said the build would cost you around $4500, unless they sell it as a package deal just the heads and rocker assemblies would cost that much. I guess I'll have to contact them and see what it would cost to build one of these for my Duster.

Bob Walker at PowerPlay Hemi bought out HotHeads Research some time back. His other website is www.powerplayhemi.com . You're right about the aluminum heads and valve gear costing almost as much as they claimed to have spent on the entire rebuild. When I saw that show the first time it aired I said then that there's no way they could build that engine for $4500. I've got over $3000 in mine with stock cast iron heads and cast pistons. I even reused the stock valves!

I call B.S. as well. Most, if not all of the old Hemi stuff is beat beyond hell. The only way I could see that you could build a Hemi for what they claim, is if you found one in a car that had been sitting in someones garage since it was 2 years old and had almost virgin parts and was barely run. Don't be fooled.......if the name Hemi is attached to any part.......it would probably cost you twice as much as any small block or big block part.
