Looking to upgrade the Satellites ignition from the stock orange box and electronic distributer.Ill most likely keep the distributer and change the box and coil.Which one works the best ? We run the 440 with a 509 and shes pretty rich at ilde hoping to clean it up a bit with better spark.Any actual ET gains noted?

Mallory has a clone of the 6AL for about $50 cheaper. Might be worth looking into.

I had real good luck with the Jacobs I run. More expensive, but its going on 5 yrs of street use and no problems what so ever.

I have had good luck with the 6al and if I were going to buy more ignition stuff, I would happily buy more from msd. Everyone I know around here uses msd and are happy with it. plus it is MSD and it is the standard- like doug said, mallory has a clone. I just like MSD.

What I didn't say, but should hve, is that if I had the money, I'd use the MSD.

if you want features, the Holley strip annhilator 800-200 is a great piece.
3 rev limitors (main, stage, burnout)
2 rpm switches (on and off)
no pills to mess with.

if you are going to want some of these features, it's cheaper to get all in one box like this then to add on to the msd. But really, all the systems are overkill. an extra 50Mj of energy is still only going to burn the A/F mix that is in the cylinder. overkill is overkill.
