where's my pre cats?
I finally looked under my 2002 RT today. I've been told that '01 & '02's have pre cats. All I saw was regular old exhaust manifolds leading to the Y pipe. Ther were no wires or sensors going into the Y pipe for the pre cats as I was told. There was the regular cat with before and after sensors, but that's all I saw. Could it be that only high smog states get the pre cats? I can now install regular headers without having to rig up ways around those pre cats. Or can I be missing something?

On Durangop's only the CA emissions vehicles have pre-cats. All Dakotas have the pre cats because they are a lower GVW and have different emissions requirements.
