Post 71 340 4speed duster

71 340 4speed duster

I have orders to Hawaii. I must sell my 1971 340 4-speed duster. the following is the list of mods. 1970 340 block bored 30 over with forged trw pistons hp rods and forged crank the reciprocating assembly was balanced to two grams by P&M perf in N.C. The heads have ferrera valves stainless steel exhaust and intake 2.02 intake 1.80 exhaust. Double roller chain triple springs. Edelbrock single plane intake with a holley AED 650 Double pumper carb. Headers 2.5 inch stainless exhaust. 4 speed was purchased by herb mcandless years back and has been rebuilt by liberty gears. it has low first gear ratio 23 spline with new driveshaft. the rear is a 489 case. with 3:23 posi. small bolt rallye wheels with trim separate dual hood scoops factory with chrome trim. I forgot to mention that the cam in the engine is a 292 duaration 509 lift purple shaft the engine only has 5,000 miles on it. Paint is plum crazy purple with new black vinyl top and glass and trim not rusty inerior need new headliner and seat covers. this is not an original. It was originally a 318 3speed twister duster. it came with the sharks tooth grill and scoops and rallye rims. It has drum brakes alway around an has been totally been rebuilt. it has poly bushings on the front and new shocks and has just been aligned. Has rallye steering wheel goodyear eagle st with good tread 10/32 brakes have about 5,000 miles as well.

asking price is $5,000 dollars the motor has $3,500 all together and another $1,000 in the trans so this is a steal. I am the second owner as well. I forgot to mention that the car is factory powersteering and A/C But the A/C is not hooked up but have the parts to it. Has autometer gauges. metal motor mounts and more.

Sounds like a nice car, devildawg-when are you leaving for Hawaii? I just got to my first duty station-MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. It aint bad right now, kinda miss my girl, but i dont mind. I am a 3531 Motor T Operator. I am kinda interested in the car, but I don't have much money right now. Thats why i wondered when you were leaving. You can email me at rallychally@hotmail.com, or just reply back on this post. Take care.

Make sure you keep yourself as well as everyone else over there safe. Do not do anything stupid.

Praying for a safe return of all our soldiers
