Local Chrysler dealer should be able to get it.Either OEM Mopar or from Mopar Performance.

Hey...i just searched on summit racing for "intermediate bushing"

Description

"A replacement bushing for your intermediate shaft

Chrysler: V6 and V8, bronze, intermediate shaft bushing

Replace your worn out intermediate shaft bushing with this one from Mopar."

Is this the right one? Are they always bronze? This is part number DCC-1737725

Oh....lol..i just noticed that is the same part number as Billy gave me..........I called my local dealer earlier..they don't have them in stock of course. I hate dealing with them because they won't even look up a part number for you if the car is more than 10 years old. Every time, they always tell me to call "this" number....it's for their "old parts"...its the number to YEAR ONE!
I've got a email out to a dealer in another city that ships for free on internet orders...also they say 15% off internet orders too....we'll see.

Default BUSHING

when we cleaned our rb at the machine shop the bushing just about desintegrated. my machine man said not to worry as he pulled a bronze bushing out of a spare parts bin.the original looked like some type of monkey metal. try a good machine shop

I've seen silver colored ones also, some sort of aluminum alloy, they don't drive out very well. Seem soft and brittle at the same time???

Rob:

If you get one of the Mopar Performance bushings, you'll need to burnish the bore to open it up a little after you drive it into position (per the Mopar factory shop manual). It's not that big of a deal but you need a special tool to do this and if you don't open it up, it will be too tight for the oil pump drive shaft.

Pioneer, Inc. also makes a bushing (P/N PC780) that is an exact replacement and it does not need to be opened up after it's installed. Pioneer products are sold through a lot of auto parts supply places. If you can't find someone who handles Pioneer stuff, you can call Pioneer in Meridian, MS at 1-800-821-2302 and ask them who in your area carries their products and you might find someone local who has it is stock like I did.

The out of town dealer already shipped me the MP bushing.....What should I use to hone it to fit the shaft?

These are all good responses. Here's another one. (I hope!) Any automotive machine shop worth it's name will have these, and the finishing tool on hand. If they don't, it's a good bet that they don't overhaul a lot of mopars-better find a new machinist!.....djs
P.S., when these bushings wear out, it allows bad things to happen to your distributor at high RPM's, as my brother found out the hard way with his 340

I have seen the bronze bushings turn silver after hot tanking the block. Should ALWAYS replace these on a rebuild as well as the oil pump drive shaft, it's just cheap insurance

six pack is right-as a matter of fact the bushing should be removed and trashed before the hot tank process, then install a new one as part of the rebuild...............djs
