I'm looking at my Paddock catalogue, they show a '70 B-body with 4 bbl (#PAD03116) for $37.95. They also show a '71 B-body with 6bbl (#PAD03117) for $36.95. Does that help you at all? The '71 B-body and '70-71 E-body show the same part number.

Last I checked Mopar still had these. I know I have a spare new one in the garage. They did list them in the Mopar Performance catalogue.

Hey Mr B not to change the question, but have you ran your x at the track. I like the sound of that combo.

Default throttle cable

hey ausydad. year one has the same info. but don't specifically state a part # for a 1970. maybe a 71 will fit? they don't make it easy do they.
six pack, maybe you might be interested in selling your spare one. let me know.
hey grump, just pust my engine back in my car thursday. had my intake polished and now i am installing my carbs. the car has been repainted and a new engine rebuild and detailed, really looks nice. with this set-up i hope to run high 11's even with the 355 gears and cruise the highways. mopar muscle just did a write up on an engine similar to mine except they used the hughes 30/38 cam and their heads were not ported and they produced 527 hp. they installed 1.6 rockers and producd around 545 hp. i feel like mine should be at least around 550 hp if their numbers are acurate.

I think I would look at their return policy and try the '71 with 6bbl. Most Mopars had their major changes in '70 and '72. '71 was a little bit of an odd year, but what a great one! Maybe you can get specs from Paddock or Year One as far as length, clips, etc. What about a Mopar specific junkyard?Lokar cables?

Hey mr B i like the highway cruizing idea. I sure miss being able to drive all over. I got bit by the go fast bug 9 years ago and I just did not stop in time before I got carried away. Now I need another more tame car to drive more often.

Hope you hit the numbers your looking for. Be sure to post a thread when you find out. See ya!

The Grump!!!

From what I understand from a friend who has a B-body 6bbl car, the difference between the 70 and 71 is the firewall setup. One is square while the other is round. His suggestion was the same as Christopher's. Use the 4 bbl cable, you'll be just fine.

i have a 4 barrel cable on there now but it is bad. it seems to be a little to short i guess because the intake is so much taller. saw one on e-bay yesterday and tried to buy it but the on line bidding would not take my bid. i registered and tried to buy but it did'nt happen. had only twenty minutes to get. i was not a happy camper. may try the 71 cable and make nesessary changes. only $14 through mopar performance.
