Default aussie mopar fan

hi there my name is darren i live in cairns australia. I am wondering if you guys could give me an idea on whether I am doing ok with my combination. I have a 1966 vc valiant ute which ihave started to race occasionally. It has a360 which is 30 over internally balanced, kb107 pistons stock rods with bolts,10.8 compression,j heads 202 160 valves, mopar m1 s/p manifold, 750 bg silverclaw, msd billet dizzy 1.78 headers 36 deg total timing, 100 octane fuel 727 manual shift,4000converter , 410 diff ,26by 8 inch 15 slicks. i have had a comp cams solid 525 lift 248 @ 050 duration cam. The car weighs 3300pounds.It has run a best of 11.88 @113 mph . i have tried alot of things to get the mph up . I am thinking that my converter might not be locking up properly. I have 60 foot times in the 1.65-1.7 area. I shift at 6800 rpm and cross the line at 6400 rpm-6600 rpm . With that rpm over the line i thought my mph would be alot higher , maybe 118 or so. I would appreciate a view from you guys.

Any idea what cfm your heads flow ???

Might need more cam.

Default aussie 360

Hi Fast One thanks for the reply. I think my heads flow 530hp @6000rpm. I dont have cfm numbers.the mph i am running should produce better times.I have just put in a Hughes solid cam 5056as which is 554in 570ex 250in 256ex dur.i also have a new dominator 4200 converter to install.

Sounds good Darren, the cam change etc should see an improvement, so your heads are flowing about 257 cfm, cool! Be back later, gotta go out.

How's it going OZ HEMI. Good to hear from you. That looks like a nice R/T you have there. Ibet that it turns a few heads over there.I would like to take my ute over there one day maybe. I think an early val ute would be a hit .
