Transbrake Vs. Footbrake
It would be interesting to know if anyone experienced quicker ET's after installation of a transbrake and how much did it improve your 60 foot times??
What did it do to your MPH?? Don |

I changed to a turbo action trans brake..... picked up NO et ..I did hurt my neck but the 60 foot was the same....If you have a small block i would think you would pick up some 60 foot at least my friends with small blocks did.... everyone i know with a big block don't get an et gain..... 440s have pleanty of torq down low, so i guess that why they don't help 440s..

I had a discussion with Griner one time about brakes. He told me that brakes improve ET on lighter cars with smaller motors. On heavy cars or cars with big motors they just usually allowed for a better reaction time.

My dads duster, 360/904 with brake, 60's about the same. Its just that leaving on the brake is much more consistant.

T-brake
I just don't know about this light heavy car crap!
I weighed 3400 with driver had strong 360 .100" over 378CID engine 904 tranny with 8" TA converter put TA brake in car and picked up two tenths reactions were a mile better too. I switched to a Tranzact brake and knocked off .050 of the reaction time. Now I saw no MPH gain with transbrake. I know a guy with 3000 with driver car running a 440 he also picked up 1.5 tenths. |
