Arrow Diff breather hose leaking

A co-worker has a '99 Dodge Durango.
His front differential breather hose is leaking fluid out of the top of the hose.
What would be the cause of this? Overfilled diff? Is this something to have checked out, or is it ok to leave alone?

Thanks in advance.

Never had that problem w/ my D, but have seen it on Jeeps when I took `em swimming! Could be water in the diff. Check it out ASAP.

It's easy to drop the 10 or 12 bolts that holds the cover on and do a quick check, probably an over filled diff though. Pull the rubber plug, fluid should be to the base of the opening, don't know how they could get more in there without it leaking?
