Question TTI B body dual exaust

I was wondering if anyone had put TTI's B body exaust on a post 74 B body? I was talking with a TTI employee on Friday and he said that they don't guarantee the fit because they have never done it. He was the one that pointed me to Mopar Chat, and I am REALLY GLAD! I want to put it on my 76 Doba. Anyone have an experience they can share?

Thanks,

Good question, but I don't know either.
I have the 3" TTI system on my '71 Charger, but the Cordoba has a different rear crossmember for the transmission/torsen bars. I don't know if the TTI system would fit around the crossmember correctly, expecially with the crossover tube?

TTI's "custom" 2 1/2" exhaust for my '67 Charger did not fit at all. They did not respond to my email inquiry about my situation.

One of the elbows that connects to the header flange is not shaped properly and causes significant alignment problem for all the other pipe sections on that side. The length of the pipes exiting the mufflers are incorrect (too short) so that the portion of the pipe that is routed over the rear axle is not located properly.

Default tti exhaust

I called them when it was time to put exhaust on my 68 charger w/a big block. I ended up at a local exhaust place. got a mandrel bent 2.5" system w/crosssover and two chamber flowmasters INSTALLED for less than the cost of the TTI system. And then I would have had to put it on myself. It has been on for over two years and I have had no problems. TTI also mentioned that I was going to have to play around with the fittment of the collector extensions they use, that is what finally steered me to the local place. Plus, if you do have a problem, the local guy is going to do more for you than tti will. Caution: research thoroughly before picking a local place, I asked around for a while till I found a place that at least 3 people said was good.

Smile Thanks Guys

I really appreciate all of the information so far. I am leaning torward finding a local place that does mandrel bent tubing. Seems like some good headers are going to cost enough!!!!

Default headers

On the subject of headers, I used hedmans ($100) and all I can say is that you get what you pay for. I had to dimple them to clear mp's lightweight (small) starter. Also, flanges were warped and had to cut one and double the gasket to get it to stop leaking. I even tried the copper seal flange gaskets with no luck. I know that there are people who used them with no problems, but I am just telling you what I experienced. And that is with a 440 in a 68 "B" body, so you know there is plenty of room. If I had to do it again, or wanted coated headers, I would go with Hooker super comps. A couple of guys around here used them and said they dropped right in (yeah, right) but said fit was not a problem. Jet hot even has them coated in stock!

The worst quality headers I have ever used were some BlackJack AK5000 Alumi-coat headers.
Warped flanges, poor welding (one tube was only 1/2 welded). I sent them back anf got Hookers.
