Question 340 +.030 9-1 forged pistons

I am looking for forged pistons for my 72 340. I want to keep it in the 9-1 range so I can drive it on the street and use pump gas, but feel I want more than the stock compression pistons for this year offered. Does anyone know where I can find these pistons without ordering special made? The block is worn .014 so I will have to go .030 over to get the proper clean/seal. Thanks.

340 pistons are heavy by todays standards and affordable forged pistons are heavier than stock(trws) consider using Keith Black hypereutectics, theyre an excellent piece, somewhat lighter than stock and create a better than stock "quench",and are available in 9-13:1,itll rev faster and make more power they run around $280 for a set(be sure your machine shop reads the info tha comes with them!!!)If thats more than you want to spend consider MPs replacement cast piston, its a decent piece for under $200,they have a steel strut cast in them which intersects the piston pin for added strength,...........PRO.....

Just rebuilt a 72 340 car. Bought the 9.1 cast flat top pistons from Mopar.
