3.75" crank for a 318?
Hers's what I want to do. Bore it .030 over, and stroke it to 3.75 if possible. That'll yield bout 364 cubes. Anybody know of a crank tha tcan be machined, or someone who sells one that will work? I know some chubies have 3.75, but I don't know if they'll work. Any suggestions on pistons and rods are welcome too. Everybody says just buy a 360, but I don't want to do that. I got this engine for close to nothing, and if I do this it'll be pretty original.

There are several companies that do 3.75" cranks but your easiest, cheapest solution is buy a Mopar Performance crank.

I don't know why you would think A Chevy crank would work in a MoPar engine. MoPar performance , as mentioned earlier, has cranks designed to work in your block. Try looking at various manufactures on pistons. They will be a custom order. Look at Ross, wiesco and Keith Black. They may have something.
Stock rods are preety strong. There fordged. If your putting together an engine with big power, look at Eagle rods to start. There are a bunch of manufatures out there. Just look around and you'll find them. |
