Hey all,

Speaking of the recirculating 1/2" system, I'm currently toying with different designs for putting one in my DeSoto project. I've only got a mild 383 in there right now so it will probably be overkill, but I'm still going to use this system just in case I decide to swap in a bigger powerplant. (I've got a 400 in a 76 Cordoba with only 28K on it that I want to build into a 474 or 496 stroker.)

Barry Grant has a catalog with some nice diagrams of how to do the recirculating system with their stuff (kinda expensive) -- but you can get a general idea from it and mimic it with other (less expensive) components. (Instead of using 20 ft. of braided stainless tubing like BG recommends all the way from the tank in the back to the engine, substitute in 1/2" I.D. aluminum hard line and save $100!)

You can get the BG catalog by calling GPT 300 (BG's parent company) @ 706-864-8544. Or if you want, email me and I can fax you a copy of the diagrams as well as some of the ones I've come up with.

If anyone has done something similar, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts if this is worth it or not.....

Pat
