NHRA Bans Transbrakes
I heard rumor that NHRA will ban Transbrakes in the PRO Bracket class beginning in 2003????
I know this is the silly season and this kinda stuff happens every year...has anyone else heard this? Don |

It may not be a ban but a mix-up from the constant changing of class names. If I have my facts straight, "Pro" is what use to be Sportsman/Footbrake, which didn't allow brakes or related electronics. Then they have the "Street" legal cars.
Super Pro (with electronics) had and will probably continue to allow trans brakes, throttle stops, delay boxes, etc. Only reason I could see banning them all together in ALL classes is because it is easier to cheat using them with additional devices that are not legal. But that is an entirely different topic! Myron |

I don't see how they could ban them. At least half the guys in Pro around here have brakes, and won't run S/Pro because they are scared of boxes.
