Default VATN Turbo

I have been contiplating building a twin turbo 360 and just got done reading the book Maximum boost and I got interested in finding more info on the VATN turbos by Aerocharger. I have a couple of question . 1. how do you shange the boost settings?
2.Are they as good as standard Turbos?
3. Has anyone used one and are they worth the money ??

there are benefits, but there are more hassles, and expense. for the gains, it wouldn't be worth the money.. you can make enough power to break anything, and spool up quicker then you would think with normal turbos. The variables are just going to be to much money.

I know this is a stupid question but does an engine have to have another air source other than the turbos??

You may want to pick up a copy of Turbochargers by Hugh McInnis. It is a bit old, but is very much better than the Bell book in the tech aspects of turbos and how they function.

Basicaly I mean can I seal a colector ontop of my intake and insert the air from the turbos? Or does the engine still have to have a conventional filter to breath through when theres no boost?

Yes and no: When you have no boost, the air will still have to come through the turbos all the time, unless you have a "gulp", "response", "blowoff" valve that is open whenever you have intake vacuum, then you will sometimes be pulling air in through it, and sometimes blowing air out it.
