Default Carb spacer

Any body out there see noticeable improvements when they added a carb spacer to their small block. I'm using the m1 single plane on my 360 and am thinking of adding a carb spacer.Just wanting some results and maybe before and after track time slips. Beeman

beeman,

I would suggest getting the latest Mopar Muscle March 2002 edition. They strip tested a 360 powered challenger with different carb spacers and a few different carbs. They are running the Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold which looks like a single plane and with the spacer on a well tuned Holley 750 DP; they gained 1/10 of a second! So I'm convinced!

Ive been told the M1 manifold has such a large plenum that you need exceptional heads to see its full potential,as such most do not advise the use of the spacer due to the excessively high rpm range needed to hit.I just posted on a spacer which does work on a stock manifold/carb setup.
