Price increases are normal. The last two years have been the worst for the increases. A coouple of other things to consider, if you are going to discontinue a product line, would you increase the price or cut the price. By cutting the price, you get rid of everything and free up wharehouse storage space. On another aspect, why would they want to cut a product line that makes money with very little advertising?

The rumor that was heard was just that, a rumor.

The name should be changed from Mopar Performance to Parts we Advertise "Maybe". The two new small block engines are advertised heavily in the Mopar rags but are not available, national back-order is the by-word on many parts. It appears they need a back order on enough parts to make a profit before they contact the vendor to produce them. Another benifit to Chrysler is no warranty on Performance parts and only 90 days on new crate engines (how much does a Hemi cost?). The word heard personally from a Chrysler parts representative is that the performance parts consist of only 5% of sales therefore less effort is expended in that area. No effort is made by the dealership in training the parts techs in locating parts for old cars. There must be some pleasure in the way we suffer and the word is sxxx mxxxoxxxx.
