I have a 93 dakota sport club cab with the 3.9 and 4 speed auto trans .
I would like replace this engine with a magnum 5.2/5.9 if they will mate to this tranny . If this is not possible would it be more cost effective to put a super charger on my current engine ,also are there any shift kits to wake up my slugish trans. |

The 5.2/5.9 will bolt up to the 3.9 trans. The 3.9 is a 5.2 that's missing two cylinders.Mopar Performance had (or still may have)a shift improver kit for that trans.

Personally I wouldn't go with the MP shiftimprover. It doesn't make hardly any difference. You would be better off going with the Transgo kit. It is very complete and has several diferent shift types to choose from.
