Does anyone know:
1) Why the R/T tow rating is limited to 6300 lbs, vehicle plus load plus towed vehicle weight?
2) How do you get it up to 10,000 lbs as the owner's manual said before the latest adendum?

I know this much, the rear springs are 2" flatter than the standard truck, and that may be a reason why. What are you towing that you need to get to 10000#????The Durango is only rated at 7300#.

You might want to consider a set of Firestone Air Bags to assist the rear springs. They bolt to the frame and the leaf springs and provide added towing and load carrying capacity.
