Throttle stuck at WOT! ('95 2500 V-10)
I was recently passing someone and floored the accelerator. The accelerator then stuck at wide open throttle and wouldn't return.
I had to turn off the ignition to avoid an accident. Has this happened to anyone else? I lubricated the throttle cable linkage which seems to have fixed the problem but I'm still paranoid. Should I replace the cable? |

Thanks. According to NHTSA the recall is only for diesels but it does appear other V-10 owners have reported stuck throttles and haven't been as lucky as me.
I just ordered a new cable. Why take chances for a $40 part. (PN 52079336) |

is there any interferance with the throttle itself? I had a problem with my air cleaner one time. it wasn't a truck, but if it binds on something, that will certainly cause problems..

Yup, went through that awhile back. Played with the butterflies for better alignment.
