Stock 1970 440 HP engine.
Plan to install Edelbrock heads, Hughes He3038BL cam, and 6-pack induction.
TTI headers and 2.5" exhaust system.
Has Accell billitproof distribitor/ignition.
I hope to get about 500 HP with these bolt-ons.

'69 440 Block, stock bottom end, stock bore
Edlebrock Aluminum heads
Mopar Performance Purple Shaft Cam 292°/.509" advertised
Double roller timing Chain set
March Aluminum Underdrive Pulleys
MP Electronic ignition kit

Holley High Volume Mechanical Fuel pump

MP aluminum high volume water pump
Currently with Torker II aluminum intake and Holley 750 DP
Soon to install my brand new MP 6BBL setup.

Anyone with a rough idea on HP for this one? Haven't dynoed it or ran it yet. I see I have a similar setup to CL440, with the exception of the heads, and he has an auto trans.

This is in my '68 GTX with 4 speed, Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, and 8¾ with 3.91 Sure Grip. Am running BFG 295/50/15 Radial T/A's. Any thoughts as to possible ¼ times with this combo.

My 440 is very similiar to some of the ones above, but here goes:

'78 440 30 over
TRW Forged pistons, 10.22 CR
7 quart pan with Windage tray
Stock rods, reconditioned, with rework/peening
Ported/polished 516 Heads with 2.14/1.81 valves
MP .509 Cam
Non adjustable stamped rockers
Port matched Mopar M1 Intake
Holley 750 Mechanical
Hooker Super comps fenderwells

With 727 with TCI 3800 Stall, Cheetah VB, and 4.30 gears should run in the neighborhood of 11.80-12.20 (big question ? is head flow). This is in a 3100 pound Duster.

Dartman

PS - I am thrashing on this beast as we speak trying to get racing before the end of season! Heads have been at the porter's for 4 months now!
