Question Head confusion...

First this is a long message, I hope someone can sit through it to help, second my 360 is from '76... Young, old??? Anyway, I want to throw on new heads, it has a nice cam waiting to go into it, the cam is a lunati: SB-Mopar - Bracket Master
Adv. Duration: 292°/292°
Gross Lift: .480''/.480''
RPM Range: 2500-5500

I've been looking at the Mancini web site for 360 heads, for my.. tada! 360, but I am confused about all the options. They list at least 6 different heads, 2 of them are the W-2 heads, long and short sleave, and the rest are 360 HP heads. One 340 HP head.

My question is, which is what?
The site addy is: http://store.yahoo.com/chucker54/castiron.html

They have these heads:
MOPAR - W2 70cc Chamber, Econo Head - Standard Length Valve
MOPAR - W2 70cc Chamber, Econo Head - Long Valve

Both have:
Increase wall thickness on exhaust flange.

High flow oval 185cc intake and D-shaped exhuast port to provide a major increase in horsepower.

Machined for 2.02" intake and a 1.60" exhaust valve using 3/8" stem

Relocated push rod holes to allow for additional intake porting

260cfm

Variety of chamber sizes to meet your compression ratio requirements

48-degree heads for all out racing

Duel exhaust flange pattern

(Eccono heads) 59-degree, 70cc open chamber with cast-in pedestals designed for rocker arm shaft packages - 18-degree valve angle.

And then they have:
MOPAR - 360 HP Head - 1.88" intake / 1.60" exhaust - Standard Rocker Arms - Bare Machined Head

And a bunch of other sized intake and exhaust valves sizes.

All are bare machined heads, but what would I need to purchase to make these ready to slap on my 360? How much more will it cost?

And what is the difference between the two different heads?
the w-2 and the 360 HP, what is different?

Also, are the w2 heads 2.02/1.60? Or is that the maximum size available for them to be machined? Do I want open or closed chamber heads?

I cannot think of any other questions, maybe just a total price that would be involved for $700-$800 of bare heads to make full and drop in ready.

Is this acceptable to utilize the camshaft mentioned above?

Thanx guys for the help, I can always count on mopar peopl

Ton-o-questions,love the cam,I put it in my dads 71 twister,10:1 360 works well, mean idle!!,well to give you a quick answer I think the Edelbrock heads would be the best choice, they have a smaller cc which will help your already low compression(63cc),if your pistoms are dished you could mill them for extra comp,go 9,5:1 minimum with edelbrocks, plus they flow as much as any head you listed, come assembled and use stock valvetrain for about the same money, around $1300 with the head bolt kit....PRO...

Default Hmm..

Well, looks like I'll go for the edlebrock heads, with bolt kit. about $1400. How well will they work with the cam listed above? I know that there will be an improvement, and I will feel it, but by how much?

While on another thought, I have a 904 tranny, what stall should I throw in. It was rebulit less than 4k miles ago, probly around 3500. Any ideas?

So in theory:
1967 Dodge Coronet 440
'76 360 30 over
Torker II 340 manifold
650 Edlebrock, vacuum secondaries * I have access to a 750 dbl pumper if need be, I can buy another for $100*
904 tranny, just rebuilt. Stock stall.
Bracket Master
Adv. Duration: 292°/292°
Gross Lift: .480''/.480''
RPM Range: 2500-5500
*I miss the sound of that cam so bad...*

I do not know what pistons I have, but I have a 2 1/2 inch exhaust, 1 5/8 headers to help flow.

Sorry about the questions, I do not have enough knowledge of engines to make plans, so I ask alot of questions, I'd hate to screw something up to where a new engine would need to be purchase
