Cool

This is actually a bad truck to do anything but cruise the boulevard. I've seen them with suspension lowering kits and they ended up with more trouble than usual with the front end. In fact Petersons Offroad did an article on IFS no more, their suspession lifted Chevy ended up in the pile of trucks that were driven hard and put away broken. They were re-building it with a solid live front axle. I've seen them in my town with body lifts, and the cab always tries to fall off after a while. Stick with your stock tires and save your money.

With a 3" lift kit you could easily put on 33" - if that's what you want.

No offense - drop a line here anytime - but just to give you another 4WD kinda site which is www.truckworld.com

A good tire site is www.tirerack.com

Good luck on your project.

I hope your not planning on taking your Z71 off the pavement, especially with bigger tires and in the mud. I'm sorry to say but the chevy's IFS front ends are junk! I've seen as many as five front axles gernade at the local mudhole (my farm). The bigger tires just weaken the strength of the axles even more. My advice buy a DODGE, they've got straight axles in the front.
