What do I need to do to convert an 85 Dodge Ramcharger from rear-wheel drive to a 4x4?
Thanks.

You need a frame, trans & transfer case, Front & rear diffs and front leaf springs. I'm not sure, but you may need a steering box, or a new arm on your old one. You can use your old rear diff if the gear is high enough, you will have to install lift blocks between the spring and diff with new U bolts. The front will need leaf spring mounts installed on the frame. I think the shock mounts are different as well. Also the trans is shorter since it is attached to the transfer case. I believe the trans mount is different, could be easier to just find a frame in the junk yard, and swap all your gear over. I believe the frames are all the same, or real close to each other right from the first ones. Good luck
